SAE Detroit Section, in conjunction with AVL Mobility Technologies, Inc., is excited to host an open house and facility tour at AVL’s Ann Arbor Technical Center. This facility was built in 2001 to serve metro Detroit’s powertrain development and testing needs. It was renovated in 2009 to include battery and electrification development and testing capabilities, and then again in 2026 to include more vehicle development and vehicle build capabilities.
