Collegiate students searching for career opportunities and companies looking to recruit young talent are invited to join SAE Detroit Section, Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), and Emerging Trends and Technology Network (ETTN) for a joint Career Fair at the SEMA Garage Detroit.
SEMA purchased a 45,000-sq.-ft. building in the Detroit area to be used as a second SEMA Garage where manufacturers will have access to advanced product-development tools and equipment, a state-of-the-art emissions testing lab, an ADAS research and development center, and expert technicians who will help bring products to market.
Why should students attend?
- Meet industry professionals who hire graduates and/or support student programs
- Help prepare for Formula SAE® and Baja competitions with mock tech inspections and presentations
- Show your school spirit by wearing your school logo and colors (i.e., hat, hoodie, t-shirt)
- Tour the SEMA Garage Detroit

What should students bring?
- Updated resume to share with recruiters
- Your team’s Formula, Baja, or Aero Design project, completed or not, and any presentation materials you have
Is there a dress code?
This is a casual event. This is the perfect event to wear a logoed shirt or hat and show your school or company colors while connecting with others.
Important Notes:
- Registration will close this Tuesday, February 18
- Complimentary registration for all students (SAE student membership not required)
- Must register one week in advance to participate in the presentation judging
- Recruiting companies asked to contribute $500 to support event costs
- Lunch will be provided
