Connectivity is Key to Advancing Safety for Everyone Sharing the Road
Tuesday, May 17
12:00 - 1:00 p.m. ET
(Complimentary Virtual Event)

Join us for a discussion that will highlight Honda’s vision for a safety ecosystem that protects everyone sharing the road, including drivers and passengers in automobiles and on motorcycles, cyclists and pedestrians, by seamlessly communicating real-time safety information.

Since 2017, Honda has been developing a technology to realize a collision-free society called SAFE SWARM™. Using Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) communication, Honda SAFE SWARM enables vehicles to communicate with other road users and share key information such as location, speed, and vehicle sensor data.

The presentation will address the implementation, outcomes, and challenges of the V2X technologies including vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure direct communication systems. It also will share insights from Honda’s connected vehicle research with the Marysville Smart Intersection in Ohio and recent collaboration with MCity and Verizon to explore Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) based V2X systems.
