This joint event with SME Chapter – 069 Oakland and Macomb will explore a day in the life of motorsports management with Alba Colon, Director of Competition Systems at Hendrick Motorsports and Laura Wontrop Klauser, Sports Car Racing Program Manager at General Motors. The discussion will take you down the track into what motorsports management really means and how they strive for success in their roles and how they got there.

Alba has been part of the racing community for over 20 years and her group oversees all simulation programs, strategy tools, testing and other key tools for the Hendrick Motorsports NASCAR Cup Series teams. Laura has worked in General Motors racing activities for the last five years and her role includes engineering and technical oversight of Corvette and Cadillac Racing for Chevrolet.
