
SAE/ECS Detroit Joint Section Meeting: Advanced Automotive Batteries

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and the Electrochemical Society (ECS) will hold a joint Detroit Section Meeting on "Advanced Automotive Batteries". Advanced batteries pose one of the biggest challenges and opportunities on the road to electrifying the automobile. The success or failure of Hybrid (HEV), Plug-In (PHEV), and Electric Vehicles (EV) are highly dependent on their batteries. At this meeting, a group of industry leaders will come together to present and discuss the critical issues and concerns in implementing the next generation of "Advanced Automotive Batteries". A panel discussion with the speakers will follow their presentations.

About Electrochemical Society
The Electrochemical Society (ECS) was founded in 1902 as an international nonprofit, educational organization concerned with a broad range of phenomena relating to electrochemical and solid-state science and technology.
