Become a Member

There are many benefits to becoming a member of SAE Detroit Section. In addition to the many program offerings, there are countless opportunities for networking, volunteering and learning. SAE Detroit Section is the largest Section and the most active of SAE. With a focus on automotive design and manufacturing including cars, trucks, buses and their engines, systems and components, the Section is always developing ways to engage members and promote continued learning.

** Special Reduced Membership Dues Rate Available** -  At renewal time, if you find yourself out of work due to the current economic situation, SAE offers dues assistance to members in good standing. Members receive a 50% dues reduction for up to two consecutive years in times of unemployment. Check SAE’s web site on the Dues and Rate page http://www.sae.org/membership/dues.htm, contact a SAE Customer Service Representative at 1-877-606-7323; 1-724-776-4970 (if calling from outside North America); or customerservice@sae.org to find out how to obtain the special unemployed dues rate. Do not drop your SAE membership in times of hardship but rather continue as it can be your most valuable resource.
